Requirements for card handling

Below you will find information about the records and information that should be included in your website if you want to enable your customers to pay by card.

You can use the sample records we have provided.

To enable card payments on your website, complete your terms and conditions with the relevant provisions (in accordance with these guidelines) and then add the following information and materials to the page.

  • Seller contact details (e-mail address/telephone).

  • Banner with bank logos and card organisations displayed in the payment methods section, terms and conditions or in another prominent position on the website (display of the banner is required by the payment organisations: Visa, Mastercard) - banners and logos to download.

  • Information on lead time orders in the event of payment by card. Example records:

    Quote!

"Order processing time is calculated from the time of positive payment authorisation."

    or

    Quote!

"If the Customer chooses to pay by bank transfer, electronic payment or payment card - from the date on which the Seller's bank account is credited."

  • Complete product descriptions visible on the site. They should include:

    • the name of the good/service
    • product/service image
    • description of the main performance characteristic, possibly the composition of the products
    • the name of the manufacturer or importer
    • the price, including currency and whether it includes all additional costs, including taxes
    • foodstuffs (supplements) must be declared to the GIS and contain the exact composition
    • rechargeable batteries and printer toner - compulsory provision for waste collection
    • for gift cards - terms and conditions
    • for garments, compulsory composition
  • Acceptability of terms and conditions before placing an order (there should be an option in the shopping cart to tick and un-tick acceptance of the terms and conditions, as a statement of the customer's willingness to agree with the terms and conditions on the website).

  • The design of the website should allow the customer to free movement across all tabs.

Bookmarks should be completed with information entered by the vendor. This means that messages sounding like:

    Page under construction
A shop will soon be operating here
We are working on the website
    Technical break

will be insufficient. Adequate content should be prepared and published in each of the tabs visible in the shop.

  • If you are running a dropshipping service - please send us documents confirming your partnership with the wholesaler providing the goods. Sensitive data (covered by commercial confidentiality) may be obscured.

Important!

Once all required changes have been made and Autopay has been notified that the card application has been approved:

  • do not make any changes to these rules and regulations, which have been approved by us
  • do not upgrade the site (must be available for verification)
  • do not disable the shopping cart (we need to be able to process a test order during verification)

Information!

You will find all the up-to-date records of card payment requirements successively at Visa and Mastercard.
